“My Nonno, however, didn’t like to be confined inside the four walls of a shop. His first enterprise consisted in going from door to door selling leather to the local artisans, carrying his stock around on his bicycle; he then added velvet, fine fabrics, and textiles to his inventory. Soon, Nonno outgrew his one-man bicycle operation: in 1963, together with his two sons, he founded San Marco and started manufacturing sofas.

Over fifty years later many things have changed, but Nonno’s drive and work ethic remain strong within the family. San Marco is still a family-run workshop producing sofas right here in Brianza, where Nonno began.”
